How You Can Learn Guitar Quickly and Save Time and Money in the Process!

I learnt the guitar very quickly when I started out, partly because I had a natural aptitude for it but also because of the methods I used. The Aim

So with this in mind I went with a downloadable package for my computer comprising of text, tabs, videos, jamming tracks, a metronome to keep time (essential), a guitar tuner, excellent support and a lively forum to bounce ideas off.

The Method 

What I’m doing now in my advanced stages is very similar to how I managed to earn guitar quickly almost 20 years ago except this time I have a serious edge – a computer and the best guitar learning software available on the net.

In a nutshell the method is – learn some very basic stuff, understand that the bottom E string (the thick one not the thin one) is your friend when finding what key a song is in – and jam a long to anything you can.

What you do is slide up and down the bottom E string until you find the note that is the ‘root’ of the song – from there you know what key it is in and which scale to use. When you get it bit better you can use bottom E to find out each chord and from there you can work out songs you like and play along to them.

The ‘Secret’  

Jamming along to stuff you like is the most effective and sure fire way to learn guitar quickly and be playing like a pro in almost no time, it costs nothing once you’ve learnt your basics and it is without a doubt your best time invested in developing your art.
